Even twins feel discriminated when compared to each other. And you cant avoid that as long as you are physically, mentally or [any other]ally different. The flip side of difference is discrimination and the only way to eliminate the second is to eliminate the first. And as you rightly said, being different has its advantages. You should see more of that than "rant" on the disadvantages!

And c'mon, that's not "revealing" enough :P Will rummage through it next time we meet, what say? ;)

PS: Chivalrous?!!! Meh! ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22370793.post-75866828905797846512009-03-10T18:30:00.000-07:002009-03-10T18:30:00.000-07:00@Hriday C'mon, you know...an almost similar po...@Hriday C'mon, you know...an almost similar post from you would have made you chivalrous, sensitive to issues but from me it gets labeled as a rant! It's almost like gossip vs Sharing information!

Well, I guess that is the exact difference you are talking about and God, No... I do not want to be treated the same, it's great being a Woman & there sure are the benefits too.

All I can reveal is that my bag never leaves my sight and it's large enough!Roweena D'Souzahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17832123465791425798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22370793.post-50008989570802620892009-03-09T22:13:00.000-07:002009-03-09T22:13:00.000-07:00I don't understand this hue and cry about 'women b...I don't understand this hue and cry about 'women being tormented/harassed/unequally treated etc'.

The world thrives on difference and discrimination - cats arent treated on the same terms as trees and men on the same terms as cars. For that matter, no 2 women are treated the very same way by the very same individual.

You are taking one very narrow view and ranting on it.

Supposing this "vice" of differentiation vanishes because of your prayers and blogs, then you might wear any number of stiletto heels, bare any amount of skin and might never have to carry a pepper spray - but then, u are just like any other element of existence. Does that help?

PS: Do you really carry pepper sprays with you?? :-o ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
